The following are the requirements for taking the PTE Academic Exam:
The candidate’s nationality is one of the most important factors to consider.
Students of various countries are welcome to take the PTE Academic test, which is governed by the same set of regulations. Candidates must have a valid, current, and readable identity verification document in order to take the exam (typically a passport)
The candidate’s age
The PTE Academic test is open to students above the age of 16. There is no indication of an upper age limit on the official PTE website. Candidates aged 16 to 18 must complete and submit a parental consent form.

The College Board has not established a particular lower or higher limit for students taking the PTE exam. The sole criteria set forth by the organising organisation is that students taking the test have finished their high school education. The majority of those taking the PTE exam are between the ages of 17 and 19.
The candidate’s educational credentials
The PTE Academic Board has not established any educational qualification qualifying criteria. The sole requirement for taking the exam is that you must be able to communicate in English.
